The outcome statement reaffirmed the commitment to (1) the right to education for refugees, migrants and asylum-seekers; (2) education and learning for democratic citizenship and inclusive social development; 3) improve both domestic funding and international assistance, with a focus on the most needy communities and countries, and 4) monitoring equity and quality of education. UNESCO is the main UN agency in the implementation of SDG 4 – Education 2030. The Organization supports international cooperation and strengthens global partnership, both at the global and regional levels, to achieve SDG 4, in particular. The links between the goals and objectives of the SDGs are well illustrated by how UNESCO is advancing the 2030 Agenda (en.unesco.org/creativity/sites/creativity/files/247785en.pdf). By contributing directly to nine SDGs, UNESCO contributes to SDGs 1, 10 and 17. . .
